This incredible journey can take up to 6 generations of butterflies to complete. Along the way, they can cover up to 100 miles in a single day, soaring over mountains, deserts, and oceans.
Unlike many other migratory species, these butterflies don’t return as individuals, but as descendants of those that originally left! We can’t wait to welcome them back next spring, once they’ve completed their round-trip adventure!
