Spring Newsletter

Spring is here… We all know it, we just need to give the weather a bit of time to catch on!

First thing first. We won New Business 2023. Thank you so much Sherborne. I really cannot put into words how much this award has meant. A special thanks goes out to our category sponsor – Porter Dodson Solicitors, Sherborne Business Awards, Dorset Action Coach, The Sherborne Market, and Sherborne Chamber.

Our new website is up and running. CountryGardens.co.uk. Please feel free to play around and test. Feedback is always gratefully received. A big thank you to Peter Farrell in Gillingham.

We’re proud to now stock Niwaki Japanese secateurs and trowels. Niwaki have won many prestigious awards and are some of the best gardening tools you can buy. Follow us to see other new products as they arrive.

5* Reviews – If you’re one of the amazing reviewers that has left a few words on our Google and/or Facebook page, THANK YOU! I would like to give you, anyone that has bought from us, or any future customer that leaves a review, a free bag of BBQ/Smoker chips or £5 off your next shop with us. You’re awesome and you deserve it!

The Sherborne Market starts in 2 weeks! We’ll be at them all again this year, as well as many other local shows and events including the Great Dorset Chilli Festival, Dorset County Show and Sherborne Castle Country Fair. Please see our events page on our website for the full list with the dates you need for your diary.

New News! From 6th April the company is changing its name for the 2nd and final time to English Country Gardens Ltd. Our contact details are staying the same and you can still get hold of us via Hello@CountryGardens.co.uk and 07766116995.

Facebook and Instagram for Sherborne Country Gardens will remain unchanged with a focus on local news and events. We can now also be found across all social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikToK, Pinterest and YouTube as English Country Gardens, where you can follow us for more generalised info and tips.

Our ethos is UK hand crafted or sourced, and local to Sherborne wherever possible, with an emphasis on traditional, quality and natural materials. Unfortunately, Sherborne does not yet have a whisky distillery so our barrels will continue to come from Scotland! We always try to avoid plastic, minimise waste, repurpose and reuse. A sustainable and environmentally friendly garden will always be at our heart.

The future for English Country Gardens is very exciting. We plan to continue on the markets, and pop up at more and more local events and build on our fantastic customer base in the area along with feeling out our surroundings via our new website offering delivery within 50 miles of Sherborne.

Thanks for reading and can’t wait to see you all very soon.

Best wishes,

Simon
