Viola Cornuta Large Flower Mix

Sale price£2.25

The tougher, more reliable sibling of the pansy — and in many ways the more useful garden plant. Viola Cornuta Large Flower Mix combines the robust, weather-resistant habit of a wild violet with larger, colourful blooms in a joyful riot of velvet purples, sunny yellows, icy whites, and sky blues, many with classic face markings. Flowers for months on end even in erratic British weather.

Ultra-hardy (H7), edible blooms, and a vital nectar source during the hungry gap when few other flowers are available. Approximately 100 seeds per packet.

  • Viola cornuta — Hardy Perennial (H7)
  • Height: 15–20cm | Flowers: spring–autumn (cycle dependent)
  • Sow indoors February–April or June–September; cover completely — needs darkness
  • Full sun to partial shade; cool, moist, fertile soil
  • Deadhead regularly for continuous flowering
  • Edible blooms — outstanding for cake decoration

Grow it with Alyssum Royal Carpet for a dense, colourful, fragrant ground cover at the front of any border.
