Phlox Blushing Bride

Sale price£2.35

A flower that whispers rather than shouts. Phlox Blushing Bride is a Fleuroselect Award winner that produces masses of large, white, star-shaped flowers each centred with a delicate cherry-pink blush eye — a sweet honey-like scent, neat bushy habit to 40cm, and long wiry stems that make it outstanding for small posies, buttonholes, and jam-jar arrangements.

A cut-and-come-again variety: the more you harvest, the more it blooms. Note: seeds require total darkness to germinate — cover well and consider a black cover over trays until shoots appear.

  • Phlox drummondii 'Blushing Bride' — Fleuroselect Award, Hardy Annual (H3)
  • Height: 30–40cm | Flowers: July–October
  • Approximately 200 seeds per packet
  • Sow indoors March–May at 18–20°C; cover completely — needs darkness
  • Full sun; moisture-retentive, well-drained soil
  • Pinch at 10cm for bushier growth — excellent for cutting

Grow it with Gypsophila Covent Garden for a classic bridal combination of white stars and white mist.
