Malva Zebrina

Sale price£3.20

The most striking malva in the range. Malva Zebrina produces large, open, saucer-shaped flowers in soft lilac-white with bold purple-violet veining that radiates from the centre like the stripes of a zebra — a graphic, eye-catching quality that makes it stand out in any border and look extraordinary in a vase.

Tall, self-supporting, and flowering prolifically from June through to October. Self-seeds reliably once established.

  • Malva sylvestris 'Zebrina' — Hardy Perennial (H5)
  • Height: 90–120cm | Flowers: June–October
  • Sow indoors March–April or direct May; full sun
  • Well-drained soil — drought-tolerant once established
  • Self-seeds freely — naturalises beautifully
  • Outstanding pollinator plant

Grow it with Cornflower Black Ball for a bold combination of striped lilac and dark velvet that is one of the most graphic pairings in the summer border.
