Linum Blue Flax
A plant of movement and light. Blue Flax produces slender, arching stems that sway in the slightest breeze, carrying hundreds of small, saucer-shaped flowers in a pure, clear sky-blue — a shimmering river of colour that weaves through borders and meadows with a grace that no other perennial quite replicates.
Each flower opens wide in the morning sun and drops its petals by late afternoon, creating a carpet of blue confetti on the ground — but by the next morning, a fresh flush has opened to take their place. Ultra-hardy (H7, to -20°C), drought-tolerant, and a prolific self-seeder that establishes a permanent presence once settled.
