Thick timber construction

The 21mm wooden panels are finished with varnish and wax to help resist outdoor weathering. Regular inspection and care will help maintain the box's condition; the finish does not remove the need for ongoing maintenance.

Positioning

Green Feathers recommends mounting the box on a mature tree with good visibility, at least 3 metres above ground. Choose a site suited to the species you hope to attract and arrange safe, secure installation at height. Occupancy will depend on the habitat and birds present locally.
