Gypsophila Pink
The pink version of the florist’s essential filler — and in many ways the more romantic of the two. Gypsophila Pink produces a misty, airy cloud of delicate rose and shell-pink flowers that bring a softness to arrangements that white alone cannot quite achieve.
One of the fastest flowers you can grow from seed — from sowing to a full cloud of pink blooms in as little as 8–10 weeks in a favourable British spring. Sow successionally for a continuous supply. Outstanding for hoverflies and small solitary bees.
- Gypsophila elegans — Hardy Annual (H3)
- Height: 45–50cm | Flowers: June–first frosts (with successional sowing)
- Approximately 1,000 seeds per packet
- Sow every 3 weeks March–June for continuous supply — direct sow preferred
- Full sun; well-drained soil
- Outstanding pollinator plant for hoverflies and small bees
Grow it alongside Gypsophila Covent Garden for a two-tone mist of white and pink that works with everything.
