Cosmos Daydream

Sale price£2.60

The most romantic cosmos in the range. Daydream produces exquisite bicolour blooms with white petals that melt into soft blush-pink centres, with a darker pink halo around the central golden disc — a colour that shifts and deepens depending on the light, and looks as though it has been watercoloured rather than grown.

Extra-early flowering at just 7–8 weeks from sowing, reaching 90–150cm and flowering non-stop until the first November frosts. Listed on the RHS Plants for Pollinators. Thrives in lean soil — avoid over-feeding, which produces foliage at the expense of flowers.

  • Cosmos bipinnatus 'Daydream' — Half-Hardy Annual (H2)
  • Height: 90–150cm | Flowers: early summer–November
  • Sow indoors March–April; plant out after last frost
  • Full sun; lean, well-drained soil — do not over-feed
  • Pinch at 15–20cm for sturdy multi-stemmed growth
  • RHS Plants for Pollinators listed

Grow it with Swan Lake sweet pea and white foxgloves for a border of pure, dreamy romance.
