Clary Sage Oxford Blue

Sale price£2.20

Intense, saturated indigo from June to October — without fading, flopping, or fuss. Oxford Blue produces upright, branching spikes of deep vibrant indigo-blue bracts that are completely rainproof (they are leaves, not petals), last weeks in a vase, and retain their true saturated pigment perfectly when dried — making them one of the finest blue elements in any winter wreath or dried arrangement.

The blue that makes warm-toned neighbours sing. Listed on the RHS Plants for Pollinators. Approximately 150 seeds per packet.

  • Salvia viridis 'Oxford Blue' — Hardy Annual (H3/H4)
  • Height: 50–60cm | Flowers: June–October
  • Direct sow March–May or September; cover lightly 3mm
  • Full sun; well-drained soil — drought-tolerant once established
  • Pinch at 10cm for bushier, multi-stemmed plants
  • RHS Plants for Pollinators listed — outstanding for drying

Grow it with Cosmos Apricotta for a sunset combination of cool indigo and warm peach that is one of the most on-trend pairings in the cutting garden.
