Bupleurum Griffithii
The florist’s secret weapon — and an RHS Award of Garden Merit variety. Bupleurum Griffithii produces tall stems topped with zesty lime-green bracts that make every other colour in a bouquet look more saturated and vibrant. The ‘flowers’ are actually modified leaves (bracts) rather than petals, which is why they are completely rainproof, last up to 10 days in a vase, and dry beautifully for winter arrangements.
The ultimate neutral filler that makes hot oranges vibrate and cool blues look deeper. Autumn sowing produces stems up to 90cm.
- Bupleurum rotundifolium 'Griffithii' — RHS AGM, Hardy Annual (H3/H4)

- Vase life up to 10 days — dries beautifully
Grow it with Calendula Neon for a citrus-burst combination of lime-green and electric orange that is one of the most vibrant pairings in the cutting garden.
