The aster that arrives just when the cutting garden needs it most. Duchess Mixed produces flouncy, incurved peony-form blooms in deep violet, hot pink, soft lavender, crimson, and pure white — held on sturdy 60cm stems with a vase life of up to ten days, flowering from August through to October when most other annuals are beginning to fade.

Dense, rounded, and a touch theatrical — the China aster that brings the look and substance of an expensive cut-flower chrysanthemum to anyone willing to grow from seed. Listed on the RHS Plants for Pollinators.
