Achillea Marshmallow
It earns its name from the moment the buds open. Marshmallow produces soft, fluffy, double white pompom flowers held on slender stems above a clump of fresh green foliage — clouds of pillowy white from midsummer through to autumn that bring a lightness to the border that few other perennials can match.
A close relative of Ballerina but with a more relaxed, vigorous habit, it is the floriferous workhorse of the Achillea ptarmica family — generous, long-flowering, and beautiful both fresh and dried.
- Achillea ptarmica 'Marshmallow' — Hardy Perennial
- Height: 50–70cm | Flowers: July–October
- Full sun to partial shade; well-drained soil
- Excellent for cutting and drying
- Strong pollinator plant
Grow it with deep-coloured perennials — the white pompoms provide a softness that makes bold colours sing without competing with them.
