Nepeta Mussinii - Catmint
The easy lavender — and in many ways the better one. Nepeta mussinii forms a low, tumbling mound of aromatic, silver-grey foliage topped with endless spikes of soft lavender-blue flowers that give you the classic blue-haze look without the fuss. Tougher, hardier, and faster to establish than lavender, blooming in its first year from seed.
The perfect plant for softening the hard lines of a path, spilling over the edge of a raised bed, or creating a river of blue under roses. Listed on the RHS Plants for Pollinators — bees find it irresistible.
