Named as one of the most beautiful restaurants in England by Condé Nast Traveller in 2021, The Clockspire, set in rural Somerset, was originally built by Sir William Medlycott in 1864 as a school. Now the building has been brought back to its former glory creating a warm and welcoming restaurant and bar, designed by London-based architects and designers Studio Indigo.
Having celebrated it’s 5-year anniversary in October, the Clockspire’s menu is all about seasonality and using locally grown produce at its prime; dishes are ingredient-led with an emphasis on flavour, harmony and balance. Add to that a wonderful service team offering warm and welcoming hospitality, and the result is an exceptional restaurant, a sophisticated bar and a landmark in the heart of the community.
Right now the team is in gearing up for a cosy Christmas season. The chef brigade, led by Luke Bryant, are crafting festive menus including afternoon tea that are filled with holiday treats
