September in Sandie’s Garden

“  Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness,

Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun;

Conspiring with him how to load and bless

With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run;

To bend with apples the moss’d cottage-trees,

And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core; “

– With thanks to John Keats

Who could argue with Mr Keats, it is September and after much rain there is a cloudless blue sky and it is, dare I say hot out there.

The trees in the garden are laden with apples, not quite ready to pick. I can’t wait.

The borders are rich in colour, the sedum is turning a rich deep pink and is attracting masses of Bees.

There is also some Cyclamen coming up, near the pond, which I constantly clear of algae.

The photo doesn’t do them justice, but I couldn’t miss the chance.

The goldfish look healthy, but every time I neared them, they dived under the Lili Pads before I could take a photo.  It is amazing how they sense the smallest movement and dive for cover.
